About: The Marina del Rey Station operates six patrol boats in the harbor waters and patrols the land immediately surrounding the harbor. Marina del Rey is the world's largest man-made small craft harbor and is home port to approximately 6,500 boats. They are responsible for law enforcement on the water and on the docks. The services they provide includes airplane crashes, boat fires & explosions and capsized vessels. Additionally the LA International Airport cannot operate without an on-duty vessel available due to its proximity to the water. The Department includes a dive team, bike team and reserve team. All personnel are fully trained in EMT and rescue/recovery diving.
